As part of developing the efficiency of the Syria Immunization Group, a 4-day mid-level managers (MLM) training was held in the routine vaccination program, with the participation of governorate supervisors, vaccination officers, and district supervisors, in addition to social mobilizers and data entry officers from Idlib and Aleppo governorates. The training included the basics of planning and monitoring, supportive supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the vaccination program, as well as quality indicators and technical indicators in routine vaccination, in addition to workshops on supervision forms, vaccination program indicators, their calculation and implications. The training also included communication skills, community engagement, and human-centered design (HCD), in addition to vaccination safety, vaccine storage strategies, cold chain management, vaccination waste management, as well as cost, financing, and calculating the annual need for vaccines. Resources were also trained on prevention of sexual exploitation (PSEA).
