As part of the ongoing efforts to develop the skills of data entry personnel and community mobilization officers in Aleppo and Idlib, and to enhance the routine vaccination program in northwest Syria, the Support Coordination Unit, in cooperation with the Syria Immunization Group, launched an innovative initiative to implement the DHIS2 (Tracker) system, by organizing a series of intensive field trainings, through which we aim to establish an accurate and comprehensive follow-up network for all children targeted by the routine vaccination program. This step contributes to reducing the rate of children dropping out of the program, which enhances community immunity, reduces morbidity and mortality rates, and eases the burden on the health sector.
