Over the course of four intensive days, the cadres of the Syria Immunization Group gathered in the Northwest Syria region to participate in a comprehensive basic training on vaccines and community technologies. This training was dedicated to the new cadres within the team, as it included advanced technical aspects of vaccines. The training included community mobilizers and new vaccinators, as they were provided with the basic knowledge and practical skills necessary to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of vaccination operations. The aim of this training was to learn about the objectives and strategy of the expanded routine immunization program in northern Syria, and to learn about the diseases targeted by vaccines, the vaccines used in the program, vaccination safety and safe injection policy, the cold chain and conditions for storing vaccines, communication skills with families and beneficiaries, and preparing and educating the community about the importance of vaccinating children.
